Summary

Senior Electrical Engineer

Remote Working | £500 per day Umbrella |

Contract | BPSS Clearance Required

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support a major project, working with partially developed designs and turning technical information into clear, quantifiable packages that can be accurately priced and delivered. This is an excellent contract opportunity for an Electrical Building Services professional who can quickly get to grips with drawings, schematics and specifications, identify what is missing and provide the technical detail needed to support the estimating and commercial process.

The RoleYou will:

Review and analyse electrical / MEP drawings, schematics and specifications

Work from partially developed designs, identifying gaps, inconsistencies and areas requiring further technical definition

Develop design information into clear, quantifiable packages

Provide accurate technical information to support estimators, costing and pricing

Review designs to ensure they are practical, compliant and suitable for delivery

Identify potential design risks, changes and opportunities

Work closely with design, estimating, commercial and project teams

Ensure technical information is accurate and issued in a timely manner

Support the wider team in developing robust solutions to technical and design challenges

What We're Looking ForYou will need:

Strong previous Building Services / MEP design experience

A solid electrical building services background

Experience working with incomplete or partially developed designs

Confidence interpreting drawings, schematics and technical specifications

The ability to identify design gaps and determine what additional information is required

Experience producing quantifiable technical information that can be used by estimators

Strong technical judgement with excellent attention to detail

The ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with wider project teams

Ability to obtain the required BPSS clearance
