Location: Edinburgh Academy Junior School, Edinburgh EH3 5PL
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours:20 & 25 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday
Shifts: 10.00-2pm & 9.30-2.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only – 37 weeks per year (
This operates on equated pay - you're paid over 52 weeks of the year).
Additional Information: Occasional
evening and weekend work depending on business needs (these are scheduled to your rota in advance)

full training will be provided.
What you'll do
As a Food Service Assistant, you'll help make every mealtime a positive experience.
Working as part of a supportive team, you'll:
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of food and beverages.
- Provide a friendly, welcoming and efficient service.
- Replenish food, equipment and service areas to keep everything running smoothly.
- Help maintain clean, safe and well-organised kitchen and dining areas.
- Support deliveries and ensure supplies are stored appropriately.
- Complete required checks and records, including food temperatures, delivery temperatures and cleaning schedules.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen, health and safety procedures.
- Assist with the set-up, service and clearing of catering for school functions when required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a consistently high standard of service.

Previous catering or food-service experience would be helpful, but isn't essential, as full training will be provided.
