Our client, a well-established company within the fleet maintenance and transport industry, based in Beenham, near Reading, has an exciting new opportunity for an HGV Technician to join their team on a full-time permanent basis due to continued business growth and increased demand.
The successful HGV Technician should have:
·City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience in HGV maintenance and repair
·Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
·Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe workshop practices
·Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment
·Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance
In this role, the HGV Technician will be responsible for:
·Carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
·Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
·Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT testing and compliance inspections
·Maintaining accurate service records, job cards and workshop documentation
·Supporting apprentice technicians and assisting in the smooth running of workshop operations
