Our client, a well-established company within the fleet maintenance and transport industry, based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for an HGV Technician to join their team on a full-time permanent basis due to continued business growth and increased demand.

The successful HGV Technician should have:

·City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience in HGV maintenance and repair

·Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems

·Good knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and workshop best practices

·Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

·Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving

In this role, the HGV Technician will be responsible for:

·Carrying out inspections, servicing and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles to industry standards

·Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults

·Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations

·Completing maintenance records, service documentation and job cards accurately

·Supporting apprentice technicians and contributing to an efficient and productive workshop environment
