Summary
We are seeking reliable and dedicated School Cleaning Operatives to join our team in Bromsgrove, starting in September.
This role involves maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within school premises, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, and other communal areas within the school premises
Ensure all surfaces are sanitised and maintained to high hygiene standards
Empty bins, replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels, and restock cleaning materials as required
Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and other janitorial tools
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks and hazards
Report any maintenance issues or damages to the designated supervisor promptly
Maintain a tidy storage of cleaning supplies and equipment in designated areas
Adhere to school policies regarding confidentiality and security protocols.
Essential requirements
Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable Previous experience working within a school or educational environment is advantageous but not essential Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment Ability to work flexible hours aligned with school schedules during term time Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is preferred This role offers an engaging opportunity for motivated individuals eager to support the smooth running of educational establishments through professional cleaning services.
