Summary

Site Manager - Freelance

Location: Horsham, RH12 1NU

Start Date: 23rd November 2026

Duration: 35 weeks

We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Site Manager to oversee a 35-week refurbishment project at a shopping centre in Horsham.

The project will involve the removal of existing timber decking and installation of new aluminium decking across multiple walkways and balconies. The site also includes residential apartments, so strong communication and customer-facing skills will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Managing the day-to-day running of the refurbishment project.

•

Overseeing the replacement of timber decking with new aluminium decking.

•

Coordinating subcontractors, labour and site activities.

•

Maintaining high standards of health and safety throughout the project.

•

Liaising professionally with residents, members of the public and Horsham District Council representatives.

•

Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

The Ideal Candidate:

•

Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment or similar construction projects.

•

Strong health and safety knowledge and management skills.

•

Experience with facades, external works or builders' work would be highly advantageous.

•

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly within occupied or public-facing environments.

•

Relevant site management qualifications and certifications.

• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Full UK Driving License.

Additional Information:

•

35-week contract with a start date of 23rd November.

•

Two-week shutdown over Christmas.

•

No weekend working required.

•

Interviews will take place via Microsoft Teams before appointment.
