Summary
• Carry out general industrial cleaning of production facilities, including frameworks, structures, walls, walkways, staircases, platforms and operational areas.
• Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition in accordance with established cleaning schedules and customer requirements.
• Operate high-pressure washing equipment safely and effectively to clean production and operational areas.
• Undertake hosing, jetting, shovelling, raking and drain unblocking activities as required to support site operations.
• Remove loose paper, debris and waste materials from basement areas and designated operational locations.
• Carry out dust control activities, vacuum cleaning and floor scrubbing at machine level and other designated work areas.
• Respond to and clear spillages safely and efficiently, undertaking deep cleaning activities where required.
• Work safely within confined spaces in accordance with training, permits and safe systems of work.
• Work at height when required, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and safety requirements.
• Operate site cranes, forklifts, bobcats and other authorised equipment following appropriate training and authorisation.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and machinery are maintained in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.
• Assist with the general operation of the contract and provide support to other site activities when required.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout all assigned areas.
• Report hazards, defects, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions through the appropriate reporting procedures.
• Complete all required inspections, housekeeping checks and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Comply with all customer site rules, procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Ensure all duties are carried out efficiently and to the standards set by the customer and FGS Industrial.
• The role is physically demanding and requires a suitable level of fitness to undertake manual cleaning and housekeeping tasks safely and effectively.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• You must adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, including but not limited to those specified in the Employee Handbook, Health & Safety Policy, EMS System, IMS System and any financial systems.
• You must remain aware at all times of your responsibilities for your own Health and Safety and for the Health and Safety of your colleagues and others who may be affected by your work activities. You must ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times.
