Summary
Static Fabric Technician - Reading - £33k
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to be based in a large Commercial site near Reading. This role is with an established FM company joining a team of M&E Engineers on site. The main role will be to complete PPM's and reactive maintenance tasks on site. This is a Monday - Friday role working 8:00-17:00 with no on call.
Package will include:
- Up to £33,000
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
- Training provided
- 25 days + bank holidays
- Overtime opportunities
- No on call
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of building fabric across the campus.
- Undertake general repairs such as carpentry, basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, painting, and minor decorating works.
- Inspect and maintain doors, windows, locks, floors, ceilings, and fixtures to ensure buildings remain safe, secure, and presentable.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and fault reports, prioritising works to minimise disruption.
- Support compliance with health and safety regulations, including safe systems of work and risk assessments.
- Liaise with facilities teams, contractors, and campus staff to coordinate repairs and improvement works.
- Carry out routine inspections and identify potential issues before they develop into major faults.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed using maintenance management systems.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in commercial environments
- Qualification in a trade - Desired
- Full driving licence
