Summary

We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant on behalf of one of the UK’s most successful independently owned automotive groups. This is an excellent opportunity to join the head office team in Swindon, Wiltshire, supporting the Assistant Financial Controller.

- Salary: Around £30,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience

- Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

- Location: Swindon, Wiltshire

Duties:

- As an Accounts Assistant, maintain an efficient and methodical system for vehicle stock book invoices

- Accurately enter bank transactions into the cashbook

- Maintain clear, precise and up-to-date financial records on a daily basis

- Record and pass on messages accurately and efficiently

- Support the Assistant Financial Controller with related accounts administration

- Travel occasionally between group sites when required

Requirements:

- Recent or current experience in a similar accounts or finance role

- Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel

- A methodical, organised and accurate approach to work

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Experience within the motor industry would be advantageous

- Experience using SAGE accounting software would be beneficial but is not essential

- As an Accounts Assistant, you must live within a commutable distance of Swindon

- A full UK driving licence with minimal points
