Summary

We are recruiting a Vehicle Service Manager to join our multi-franchise approved car dealership in Chippenham. This is a senior aftersales opportunity offering a negotiable basic salary, performance-related bonuses and uncapped on-target earnings of approximately £50,000 per annum. As Vehicle Service Manager, you will report directly to the Director and play a key role within our management team. We are seeking an experienced automotive professional who can lead an efficient, profitable and customer-focused aftersales operation.

- Working hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, plus one in two Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:30pm.

Duties of a Service Manager:

- The Vehicle Service Manager will lead and support approximately eight Vehicle Technicians, four Service Advisors, one Workshop Controller and one Parts Advisor.

- Manage the daily operation of the service department, maximising workshop efficiency and labour sales.

- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and ensure an excellent aftersales experience.

- Monitor departmental performance, implement improvements and protect our reputation.

- Work proactively with colleagues and senior management to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

- Recent or current experience as a Service Manager or Aftersales Manager within a medium to large franchise-approved car dealership.

- The successful Vehicle Service Manager will be an effective leader with strong people-management and communication skills.

- A proactive, commercially focused and determined approach to improving customer satisfaction.

- Good IT literacy and the ability to work with relevant dealership systems.

- A full UK driving licence with minimal points.

- Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Chippenham.
