Summary

Determine the competence and suitability of persons undertaking LV work, verify qualificationsand authorisations, review risk assessments and method statements, define electrical safetyboundaries and prevent unauthorised access or unsafe activity.Maintain auditable AP(LV) records, including logbooks, switching records, safety documents,defect notifications, drawings, single-line diagrams, test results, inspection reports, keyregisters and evidence of system status. Lead and coordinate planned shutdowns, emergency switching and restoration of electricalsupplies, liaising with clinical services, operational managers and other infrastructure leads toprotect patient safety and service continuity. Direct the response to electrical failures and dangerous occurrences, place systems in a safecondition, arrange temporary supplies where authorised, escalate significant risks and leadtechnical investigation and post-incident review The post holderis empowered to stop work, withdraw safety documentation, isolate equipment and preventenergisation where safety, competence or compliance is in doubt.Please be aware that this role may require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
