Summary

Fire Safety Surveyor needed in Horsham, West Sussex

This is a temporary role and the rate is £350.00 per day PAYE

The successful candidate will bring proven experience as a Fire Safety Surveyor within a maintenance environment, taking responsibility for overseeing fire risk assessment actions and ensuring all works are completed to the required standards and timescales.

They will possess a strong working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, fire safety legislation, building regulations, and construction-related fire defects, enabling them to identify deficiencies, develop effective remedial solutions, and produce detailed specifications of work.

The successful candidate will be confident carrying out pre- and post-inspections, quality control checks, contractor monitoring, and health and safety spot checks, ensuring compliance across a varied property portfolio. With excellent contract management skills, a recognised fire safety qualification such as NEBOSH Fire, and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, leaseholders, contractors, and other stakeholders, they will play a key role in maintaining high standards of fire safety compliance and customer service. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across multiple locations are essential, while membership of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB or IFE would be advantageous.
