Lotus Recruitment is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Castleford. You will support pupils who benefit from a personalised approach to education and consistent adult support.
Your responsibilities
Support pupils individually and in small groups.
Help teachers deliver accessible learning activities.
Encourage participation, communication and independence.
Support pupils during lessons, breaks and transitions.
Record and communicate observations to the teaching team.
What we're looking for
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
A patient, dependable and adaptable approach.
Confidence responding calmly to challenging situations.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or Behaviour Mentor is particularly relevant.
