As a modern, forward-thinking institution, we are deeply rooted in a city renowned for its rich cultural and academic heritage. Oxford Brookes is globally recognised for its commitment to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and delivering an exceptional student experience. Our vision is clear: to shape tomorrow through a unique blend of the modern and the traditional, by embracing diversity, seeking innovation, and excelling in education and research.

About the Role:

As a ServiceNow Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role at an exciting time of expansion within Oxford Brookes University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Directorate. Working in close partnership with our ServiceNow Solutions Architect and ServiceNow Product Manager, you will lead the design, development, configuration and support of robust technical solutions on our growing ServiceNow platform. Your work will directly empower faculties and directorates across the university. Core responsibilities span platform administration, core architecture maintenance, custom application development and early-life technical support.

This is a full time, 2 year fixed term role.

Working Arrangements:

We support hybrid working. While our team is based at the Headington Campus in Oxford, we are happy to explore flexible arrangements that balance remote work with time spent on campus to foster team engagement and collaboration. There is an expectation to be on campus at least one day per week, however you are expected to be flexible to suit business needs.

About the Location:

Our vibrant Headington campus is just one mile from the centre of Oxford and is easily accessible by regular public transport. You’ll enjoy the lively atmosphere and the opportunity to be part of a thriving academic community.

How to Apply:

To apply, please complete our online application form by clicking the “Apply for Job” button below. In the “Supporting Documents” section, please upload your CV and a cover letter detailing how you meet the person specification.

Benefits:

As an Oxford Brookes employee, you will enjoy a total of a minimum of 25 days holiday, rising with your service, plus 8 bank holidays and additional university concessionary days (normally 5 per year).

We encourage and support hybrid working where the role allows and ensure that you have the necessary equipment to allow you to work flexibly.

We have an extremely competitive Local Government Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions, as well as providing all staff with access to an occupational health service, financial education, and a comprehensive employee assistance helpline.

We prioritise the wellbeing of our employees - physically, mentally and financially - and we provide a diverse and comprehensive benefits package to support our team.

In addition, all employees have access to:

Discounted rates for the university sports and gym facilities

An on-site nursery (at Headington Campus; waiting lists for some ages).

Discounted travel options

TOTUM card discount scheme

Relocation scheme (for moves over 30 miles, subject to terms of the scheme)

Training and development opportunities

We are committed to recruiting from the widest possible pool and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates who embrace our values, regardless of their background.
