Summary

Clinical Audit is central to our commitment to improving services and enhancing organisational effectiveness. The Clinical Audit & Effectiveness Team plays a key role in supporting clinical teams to measure performance against national and local standards, contributing to the Trust’s Forward Measurement Programme, NICE Guidance processes, and NCEPOD studies.

This role has a particular focus on supporting the National Major Trauma and Rehabilitation (NMTR) Audit, a high‑profile national programme requiring accurate, timely and complete data submissions. The post underpins the Trust’s ability to meet its statutory reporting obligations and provides essential assurance within the wider Quality and Safety framework.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Clinical Audit & Effectiveness Team and support the delivery of the Trust’s Clinical Effectiveness Strategy.

In this role, you will:

Lead on the collection, validation and submission of NMTR audit data, ensuring high levels of accuracy and compliance with national deadlines.

·        Support Clinical Effectiveness Facilitators by providing reliable data, assisting with audit planning, and contributing to reporting and assurance processes.

·        Work collaboratively with clinical teams and directorates to collect and interpret clinical data from a variety of sources.

·        Use established measurement tools, audit systems and processes to monitor whether national and local standards are met.

·        Help identify areas of good practice, support learning from results, and contribute to quality improvement work.

This role is essential to maintaining consistent, high‑quality data that supports clinical services, performance monitoring and the Trust’s wider improvement programmes.

We pride ourselves on supporting staff to achieve their full potential and recognise the link between an engaged workforce and high‑quality patient care.

Within the Clinical Audit & Effectiveness Team, you will be part of a supportive, collaborative environment that values accuracy, shared learning and continuous improvement.

You will have:

·        Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail

·        Experience handling data or working within a data quality/information role

·        Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

·        Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with staff at all levels

·        The ability to work independently but also support team colleagues and Facilitators

·        A positive, proactive approach and the ability to manage competing deadlines
