Based in their Huntingdon office, you will work within a supportive and collaborative team offering excellent career development, ongoing mentorship and ACA/ACCA study support as you progress towards qualification.

Your new role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will work with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting the preparation of annual statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts. You will have plenty of client exposure while working both independently and alongside an experienced team. You will also use modern cloud accounting software including Xero and Dext, with ongoing support to develop your technical skills and progress towards ACA/ACCA qualification.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be AAT qualified or equivalent, with previous experience working within an accountancy practice in a similar accounts-focused role. You will have experience preparing accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns, alongside strong attention to detail and good client communication skills. You will be ambitious, organised and keen to continue developing your career, with the opportunity to progress towards
