Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead a housekeeping team of 9 (inc. Head role). In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction across all areas of the hotel. Recently securing their second International Quality Award for being in the top 15% of GB Hotels, your hands on leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining efficient operations. - Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel's cleanliness standards.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to address repairs or issues affecting cleanliness or safety.
- Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring cost-effective usage.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or similar cleaning roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of janitorial practices, cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a dynamic setting.
