Summary

Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician | Ashford, Kent | Full Time | £42,000 Base Salary + OTE £54,000

Working hours: 8:30 am–5:30 pm, with every other Saturday.

Our client is a long-established automotive business with over 26 years of industry experience. They provide vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics and MOT testing to high standards. Approved by BMW Group, Mercedes Group and JLR, they have access to ODIS, ISTA, Xentry and TOPIx diagnostic systems. They use modern diagnostic equipment and up-to-date techniques to deliver reliable workmanship and maintain high standards of safety and customer service.

The Role

Our client is looking for a Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician to join their on-site team in Ashford, Kent. This is a newly created role focused on diagnosing vehicle faults, interpreting diagnostic data and carrying out work using modern diagnostic tools and manufacturer guidelines. Experience with German vehicles is essential, along with strong diagnostic abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle faults and accurately interpret diagnostic data

• Use modern diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues

• Follow manufacturer guidelines when carrying out diagnostic work

• Support vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs

• Keep up to date with new diagnostic technologies and techniques

• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety

Requirements

Essential

• Previous diagnostic experience

• Exposure to German vehicles

• Strong ability to diagnose vehicle faults and interpret diagnostic data accurately

• Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools, software and manufacturer guidelines

• Relevant automotive qualifications, such as NVQ, City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent

• Willingness to learn new technologies

What’s On Offer

• Base salary of £42,000, with OTE of £54,000
