Summary

Full-Time, Permanent.

Applications are invited for the post of Conference and Events Operations Coordinator in the Catering and Conferences Department.

We are currently recruiting for a Conference and Events Operations Coordinator to join our Conference and Events Operations team at Royal Holloway, University of London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, proactive and customer-focused individual to play a key role in delivering a first-class experience for our conference and events clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with both private and internal event organisers following the handover of events from the Sales Team. You will help ensure that every event is thoroughly planned and prepared, paying exceptional attention to detail and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout.

Working closely with the Conference and Events Operations Managers and Deputy Manager, you will help coordinate and oversee the preparation, set-up and delivery of a wide range of events, including weddings, private functions, conferences and university events. You will also support internal hospitality requirements and wider operational activities, including providing cover in our catering outlets during University term time when required.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy, customer-focused environment. Experience in event planning, hospitality or a similar operational role would be beneficial, particularly where attention to detail and delivering excellent customer service are essential.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure you develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in the role and contribute to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Please note that the role will involve some evening and weekend working, particularly during our busy summer conference season from June to September. Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided accordingly.

If you enjoy working as part of a team, take pride in delivering high standards and thrive in a varied and fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

In return we offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including:

Generous annual leave entitlement

Training and Development opportunities
