Mill Operative - Manufacturing
Location: Holywell, Flintshire
Salary: £32,972 p/a + overtime + bonus
Shifts: 4 on/4 off rotating shifts
HRGO Recruitment is recruiting for a mill operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Holywell.
This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment, supporting the safe and efficient operation of production machinery used in the manufacture and processing of insulated panels and building materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor mill machinery and associated production equipment.
- Assist with machine set-up, adjustments and changeovers to meet production requirements.
- Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality specifications.
- Carry out routine quality checks, identifying and reporting defects or production issues.
- Ensure materials are fed, processed and handled safely and efficiently.
- Monitor equipment performance and report machinery faults or breakdowns.
- Work towards daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Support basic machinery maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
- Experience operating machinery, ideally within a mill, roll-forming, steel processing or similar environment.
- Good mechanical awareness and basic machine-setting experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to follow production instructions and maintain quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
