Summary

Essential: Registered healthcare professional (NMC, HCPC or equivalent professional registration). Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant equivalent . Independent Non-Medical Prescriber. Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain. Evidence of advanced clinical practice at an expert level. Knowledge and experience of womens health and gynaecological services. Evidence of leadership, clinical governance and service improvement. Ability to work autonomously and make complex clinical decisions. Desirable: Colposcopy experience or willingness to undertake training. Experience of developing clinical pathways and protocols. Experience supporting service evaluation and quality improvement projects. Experience presenting, teaching and supporting workforce development. Development opportunities: Enhance relevant Masters qualification or experience to match role specification. Further development within advanced gynaecology practice. Accreditation as a Nurse Colposcopist through BSCCP. Development towards Colposcopy Screening Programme Lead responsibilities. Participation in regional and national networks, research and service improvement programmes.
