Join Our Admin / Receptionist Relief & Bank Team

Enjoy flexible working with no fixed hours. We will offer shifts as required to support our services, and you can choose which shifts and sites you are available to cover, allowing you to work around your other commitments.

You will primarily support administrative and reception services but may be asked to provide assistance across different teams and departments, depending on service needs. Full training will be provided.

You will help deliver a professional, friendly and efficient service across our hospitals, health centres and clinics. Duties may include welcoming and directing patients and visitors, answering telephone calls, responding to enquiries, managing appointments, maintaining records and providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our services.

Interviews for this role will take place in person at an assessment centre on either 5th November in Heanor or 23rd November in Chesterfield. If shortlisted, please ensure you are available to attend on one of these dates.

You will provide a friendly, professional reception and administrative service, including greeting visitors, answering telephone enquiries, managing appointments, registering patients and supporting clinical teams such as Podiatry and Physiotherapy.

Duties also include maintaining tidy public areas, handling cash and banking, ordering supplies, managing incoming and outgoing mail, monitoring waiting lists and providing cover at other clinics and health centres when required.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
