Summary
Administrative: Provide timely communication to the wider team in hospital and the community Contribute to the efficient running of elective and acute care. Engage with national audits (NELA, NBOCAP, IMPACT etc)Research: Engage with research activities in the department Provide leadership in supporting medical students and doctors in training deliver research projects Teaching: The department leads many educational programs and teaching is an important part of this role Opportunities to lead/further develop courses are numerous via the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre (NSTC)
