MIG Welder - Stockbridge

Salary: 31,200-£35,360 per annum (DOE)

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Role Overview

We're recruiting a MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing workshop producing frames and enclosures. This is a hands-on role welding aluminium and steel using jigs/fixtures to ensure consistent, repeatable builds and quality output.

Key Responsibilities

MIG weld aluminium and steel components for frames and enclosures

Use jigs/fixtures to set up parts accurately and maintain repeatability

Work from engineering drawings and weld symbols

Prepare and fit materials prior to welding (cleaning, dressing, tacking, alignment)

Complete visual checks on welds, carry out rework where required

Maintain weld quality and productivity in line with workshop targets

Follow health & safety procedures and keep your work area clean and organised

Flag any jig/fixture issues, fit-up problems, or quality concerns to support continuous improvement

Required Skills & Experience

Proven MIG welding experience on aluminium and steel

Experience welding in a production environment using jigs/fixtures

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Good attention to detail and a quality-first approach

Reliable, punctual, and able to work to deadlines
