To support a child who is diagnosed with Quadriplegic cerebral palsy and Prematurity Global developmental delay. He has a Visual impairment, so is severely sight impaired and diagnosed with focal epilepsy, but hasn't had an episode for over 4 years. He is affected throughout the day and requires use of a wheelchair. His communication is delayed and needs to be given processing time. Applicant must have a full UK driving licence with no accidents, claims or convictions.

Essential requirements
About the role Duties and responsibilities Develop a good and trusting one-to-one working relationship. Applicants must be aged 18 or over for this role. You will be required to administer medication. The individual's needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately and to report defects or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times. Due to the nature of the work, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure. Costs will be covered. Transport requirement A full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer's vehicle. Required skills Have a lively personality. Required training Successful candidates are required to undertake any training considered necessary and appropriate to the role. Moving and Handling. Training will be provided by the employer.
