Your new company

A busy and growing business is looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager/Bookkeeper to provide immediate, hands-on finance support during a period of change.This is a fast-paced environment with a supportive senior leadership team and wider group finance resource available. They need someone confident enough to come in, get to grips with the business quickly and take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.

Your new role

This is a varied and practical finance role where you will work closely with the Managing Director and wider team.Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the day-to-day finance function using QuickBooks

Raising and managing customer invoices

Forward invoicing and ensuring revenue due is accurately reflected

Supplier payments and purchase ledger activity

Bank reconciliations

Weekly and monthly payroll processing

Payroll

Maintaining accurate cashflow information and providing visibility over upcoming revenue

Liaising proactively with the MD around upcoming jobs, invoicing and cash requirements

Keeping on top of a busy workload and ensuring key finance tasks are completed accurately and on time

Working closely with the wider group finance team where additional support is required

Monthly management accounts can be supported elsewhere within the group, so the priority is someone who is happy to be hands-on with the transactional and operational finance.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be an experienced, confident finance professional who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.QuickBooks experience is preferred

This could suit an experienced Finance Manager, Company Accountant, Senior Bookkeeper or Management Accountant who enjoys being close to the day-to-day running of a business.

What you'll get in return

Salary equivalent of £35,000 - £45,000
