What you’ll do:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in line with EHO guidelines
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer service
- Prepare and serve meals to military personnel, maintaining quality and consistency
- Oversee kitchen sanitation and follow all food safety procedures and best practices
- Support bulk cooking, high-profile events and special functions, ensuring every dish meets the required standards
What you bring:
- Professional chef experience within a catering or hospitality environment
- Recognised culinary qualifications, such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ Level 2/3
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and health regulations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
- Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality food and excellent service
- Experience in military or government catering, an IOSH qualification or equivalent, and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) would be advantageous
