Summary
Do you have a passion for using information to help service managers and clinicians deliver effective high-quality services that make a real
difference to service users and carers?
Our Information Team works closely with operational services, delivering analytical support and continuously developing reporting systems and
services to help meet this challenge.
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Reporting Analyst to join us and make substantial contributions to this work. In this role you will be part of a team working to gain detailed understanding of services’ activities, issues and challenges and then providing high quality analytical support and insights. You will ensure that all regular reports and data sets are delivered on time and to specification, carry out individual pieces of analysis, participate in projects to extend reporting capability, automate production of routine reports and data sets, and increase the availability and accessibility of information to clinicians and managers.
The post-holder would take lead responsibility for a number of key reporting streams, but with an expectation to flexibly work closely with a range of clinical services and internal teams across our information department.
Aspects of the role include:
- Using SQL Server to extract, manipulate and present information from trust systems and the data warehouse on both a routine and ad-hoc basis to meet regular and one-off information requirements.
- Maintain an understanding of all major areas of analysis carried out by the trust and produce routine and ad-hoc reports in other areas to cover staff absences.
- Identify weaknesses in information systems data flows and data and work with appropriate staff and agencies to ensure identified problems are resolved.
- Design and use appropriate validation mechanisms and checking routines to ensure that all reports produced meet the user’s requirements and are accurate, reliable and clearly presented.
- Facilitate the automation of regular reporting processes, primarily within Power BI, for our internal intranet reporting system and maintain documentation of such procedures. Design, maintain and adapt other information reporting systems to meet changing internal and external information requirements.
