Summary

What's involved with this role:

Triumph Consultants are looking for a Housing Solutions Officer – Advice & Assessment to join their client's Housing Solutions Service. You will help prevent homelessness by providing advice, carrying out assessments and supporting customers. Contract is initially 3 months, working across Dewsbury and Huddersfield Hubs HD1 2YZ .

Pay Rate: £15.31 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday

Key requirements

Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and housing-related benefits.

Experience delivering frontline services in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Strong communication, negotiation and mediation skills.

Ability to support customers with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills to maintain accurate records.

Key responsibilities

Carry out homelessness assessments and make appropriate decisions in line with legislation.

Provide housing advice and guidance to customers facing homelessness.

Work to prevent homelessness through early intervention and support.

Maintain accurate case notes and prepare clear letters and emails.

Work with internal and external partners to support customers and arrange temporary accommodation where needed.
