Summary

We are recruiting a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our established commercial vehicle business in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent Commercial Vehicle Technician opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles, including 3.5-tonne vans, flatbeds, heavy curtainsiders and tractor units.

- Week one: 06:00–15:30, Monday to Friday.

- Week two: 11:00–20:30, Monday to Friday.

- Alternate Saturday mornings, 07:00–12:00, paid at overtime rates.

Duties of a Commercial Vehicle Technician:

- Inspecting and repairing vehicles to DVSA standards.

- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and presenting them for test.

- Diagnosing faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.

- Completing mechanical and electrical repairs.

- Attending breakdowns and completing off-site repairs when required.

- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

- Supporting customers by helping to keep their vehicles on the road.

Requirements of a Commercial Vehicle Technician:

- A Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification.

- Experience working as an HGV Technician or in a commercial vehicle environment.

- Dealership experience is desirable.

- An MOT licence is desirable but not essential.

- The ability to work accurately and effectively as part of a team.

- A proactive attitude and willingness to develop technical knowledge.

- Awareness of health and safety requirements.

- Your own tools.

- A full UK driving licence.
