Support Worker – Eachstep Blackburn

Pay: £13.45 per hour

Park Homes UK Ltd is looking for compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Support Workers to join the team at Eachstep Blackburn.

You will support residents to live fulfilling lives, providing care that respects their dignity, promotes independence and reflects their individual needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver kind, person-centred care in line with each resident’s care plan, wishes and preferences.

- Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and oral hygiene, while maintaining dignity and privacy.

- Encourage independence and support residents to make choices about their daily lives.

- Assist with eating and drinking, promoting good nutrition and hydration.

- Support residents with mobility and moving and handling in accordance with care plans and training.

- Provide companionship and reassurance, responding sensitively to residents’ emotional needs.

- Encourage participation in meaningful activities, hobbies and social opportunities.

- Recognise and promptly report changes in residents’ health, wellbeing or behaviour to the senior team.

- Maintain accurate and timely care records using the home’s care systems.

- Follow safeguarding, infection prevention and health and safety procedures.

- Work closely with colleagues to create a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

- Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents, relatives and visitors.

- A willingness to learn and complete relevant training.

- An understanding of the importance of dignity, confidentiality and individual choice.

Previous experience in a care setting and a relevant care qualification would be advantageous, but applications are also welcome from those new to care.
