Summary
Clinical Responsibilities. Responsible for maintaining high standards of care for patients and ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with recognised quality standards e.g., NICE guidance. Provide nursing treatment, assessments, and screening to patients. Be aware of and adhere to local Child Protection Procedures. To be flexible in response to a varying caseload and Practice emergencies. Advise patients on general health care, health education and minor ailments with referral to other team members of the primary health care team as necessary. Maintain clear lines of accountability to manage any evidence of poor clinical practice. To adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Council Code of Professional Conduct. Exercise awareness of professional responsibilities being familiar with current evidence and taking opportunities for personal development in line with Revalidation. Access regular peer support and attend Primary Care Nurse Meetings. To undertake research and assist in audit as necessary to own work. Other tasks may include: Cleaning of medical equipment used. Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of the treatment rooms. Restocking of treatment rooms. Assisting with the ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels. Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician. Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required.
