Summary

Regional Construction Group (RCG) is recruiting a qualified Electrician for a varied role covering domestic and commercial properties across the North West. Based from our Stockport operation, you will travel between sites to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding and remedial work.

This is a permanent, full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A company van, fuel card, equipment, uniform and PPE are provided for the role.

The work includes:

• Investigating electrical faults and carrying out safe, effective repairs.

• Installing, repairing and replacing lighting, sockets, switches, wiring and associated accessories.

• Carrying out LED lighting upgrades, communal lighting repairs and emergency lighting maintenance and testing.

• Undertaking consumer unit and distribution board replacements, circuit alterations and installation works within your competence and authorisation.

• Completing remedial works identified through electrical inspections and testing.

• Carrying out inspection and testing, including EICRs where suitably qualified, competent and authorised.

• Working in residential apartments, communal areas, commercial premises and plant rooms.

• Using safe isolation procedures and suitable test equipment before and during electrical work.

• Completing the appropriate test results, certification, job sheets and photographic records for the work undertaken.

• Identifying materials, collecting supplies and keeping the van, equipment and stock organised.

• Communicating clearly with residents, clients, property managers and the office.

• Protecting occupied premises, keeping work areas safe and leaving each job clean and tidy.

You should be confident managing your own workload, diagnosing faults and completing work to a professional standard. All work must be undertaken within your qualifications, competence and authorisation, following applicable requirements and company procedures.
