Summary

Regional Construction Group (RCG) is recruiting an experienced Plumber for a varied role covering domestic and commercial properties across the North West. Based from our Stockport operation, you will travel between sites to carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation work.

This is a permanent, full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A company van, fuel card, equipment, uniform and PPE are provided for the role.

The work includes:

• Investigating leaks and plumbing faults, identifying the cause and carrying out effective repairs.

• Repairing and replacing taps, toilets, cistern components, sinks, basins, showers, valves and associated fittings.

• Installing and repairing hot and cold water pipework, waste pipes and soil pipework.

• Clearing straightforward blockages and investigating drainage problems, arranging specialist support where required.

• Carrying out plumbing work in residential apartments, communal areas, commercial premises and plant rooms.

• Undertaking maintenance and component replacement on water and heating systems within your qualifications and competence.

• Completing planned maintenance, reactive repairs and small installation or refurbishment projects.

• Testing completed work for leaks and satisfactory operation, and leaving systems and work areas safe and tidy.

• Identifying materials, collecting supplies and keeping the van and equipment organised.

• Completing clear job sheets, photographs and updates on work completed, outstanding defects and further materials required.

• Liaising professionally with residents, clients, property managers and the office.

• Following safe working procedures and protecting occupied premises during the work.

Gas work and work requiring additional specialist qualifications must only be undertaken where appropriately qualified, registered and authorised.

You should be comfortable working independently, assessing problems on site and taking pride in durable, well-finished work. A full driving licence valid for driving the company van in the UK is essential.

To apply, email your CV and a brief outline of your plumbing experience and qualifications to dan@regionalcg.co.uk.
