Summary

The Investment Zone is a key initiative driving economic growth and innovation in the region. The Investment Zone Programme Support Officer will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth delivery of projects and initiatives within this transformative programme.

Working with the Investment Zone team and closely with the wider directorate, the role will support programme management, assist in monitoring funding, and contribute to stakeholder engagement. This role will be crucial in helping the team achieve key performance indicators, maintain effective partnerships, and manage risks associated with strategic schemes.

Essential requirements

* Educated to degree level or equivalent, with demonstrable evidence of continuous professional and personal development. * Experience of supporting programme management for projects and workstreams with significant resource envelopes. * Experience of supporting policy & strategy development * Knowledge of the economy and the practice of regional economic development * Willing to engage with new ideas and looks for ways to make them work and develop * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral and a high level of interpersonal skills * Competent in the use of IT including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, websites * Proficient in discussing technical issues in non technical language * Ability to develop excellent working relationships at all levels * Accuracy & attention to detail * Excellent team player within a multi-disciplinary environment
