Are you a qualified Secondary Teacher who enjoys the classroom but wants more variety in your working week?
Thrive Recruitment Group is looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Teachers in Exeter to support local schools with temporary teaching cover.
From English and Maths to Science, Humanities, Languages, PE and Technology, we're interested in teachers from every subject specialism.
Supply teaching offers the chance to experience different school environments, develop your teaching practice and choose assignments that work around your availability.
You'll step into secondary classrooms to provide continuity when regular teaching staff are unavailable.
Depending on the assignment, you'll:
- Deliver engaging lessons using work prepared by the school.
- Teach your specialist subject where opportunities arise.
- Provide general cover across KS3 and KS4.
- Establish clear expectations and manage behaviour effectively.
- Encourage pupils to participate and complete their work.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Adapt confidently to different teaching environments.
- Provide feedback following lessons.
We're looking for teachers who:
- Hold QTS or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Have experience teaching in secondary education.
- Can confidently manage a classroom independently.
- Communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues.
- Are adaptable, dependable and professional.
