Summary
Phoenix Care Staff are recruiting experienced Children’s Support Workers to support children and young people with learning disabilities and autism. You will provide person-centred support, helping children feel safe, build positive relationships and develop their independence.
We are looking for caring, patient and reliable individuals who have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. A minimum of six months’ care or support experience is essential
Essential requirements
Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a care or support role. Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities. Experience working with autism. Knowledge of Makaton is desirable. A full UK driving licence is preferable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy and a flexible approach. Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
