Are you committed to improving young lives?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as Chair of Trustees (voluntary position).
We are particularly seeking to recruit to the Board applicants with expertise in Board oversight and strategic leadership
What we are looking for:
We are seeking to recruit a Chair of Trustees who is committed to helping us to deliver our vision and mission.

Understand the difference between governance and executive management roles.
Think strategically and creatively.
Set clear corporate objectives and effectively performance manage.
Be a role model and committed to the values of organisation.
Have a track record of motivating others to strive for excellence.
About Break
We believe no young person should feel alone in the world. At Break, we make sure they don’t. We walk alongside children and young people in, around and leaving care when we’re needed most. Through fostering, residential homes, family support, mentoring and our leaving care service, we help children and young people build their confidence, create strong relationships and experience new opportunities. Simply put, we care differently. More than support, we offer lifelong care, love and ambition so that young people can grow beyond what they thought was possible.
We strive to offer excellent care and over 90% of our services are graded good and outstanding with Ofsted. Our ambition is to grow and build even further - creating an environment where people can develop their talent and see the difference they make.
Break employs around 450 staff and 900 volunteers, the majority of the latter in its shops. The staff are located primarily in Norfolk, with the main administrative offices in Norwich. We have services in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire and shops as far west as Yeovil.
Break has an exceptional training provision for internal and external customers that has a reputation for being interactive, innovative and of high quality and is leading the social pedagogy agenda within the region.
You could be part of an organisation striving to care differently.
If you are interested and would like an informal chat with our Chair, in the first instance, please contact Charley Wilson (charley.wilson@break-charity.org) who will arrange a discussion with the Chair.
