Summary
Job Overview
-We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious General Maintenance Operative with plumbing knowledge to support maintenance and repair tasks across a single site of over 30 different buildings.
-The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver planned, reactive and remedial tasks on time, whilst strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.
Main Duties
-Carry out planned preventative maintenance on engineering services as required and in line with skills set
-Include weekly flushing, monthly tap temperatures, maintaining and replacing tap aerators as well as any other PPM tasks as required
-perform scheduled maintenance service on basic plumbing and fixtures as directed, repair and maintain sinks, baths, showers and toilets.
-diagnose and repair leaks
-attend emergencies as required, including blocked pipes and toilets
-attend all other faults / call outs as requested.

-Experience of building maintenance and handyman duties
-good understanding of health and safety requirements withing a building environment
-have a proactive approach to maintenance and building management
-fault finding abilities are essential
-ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer based systems
-good communication skills and the ability to work within a team
-confident, enthusiastic and pro-active
-experience of working within a customer focused environment
-able to do the job right and do it right first time, within a pre-determined timescale
-willingness to undertake further training
-wanting to achieve success, for his or her self, the business and the customer
-flexible approach to work and working hours (subject to the EU working time directive
