• Create a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued and supported.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, identify next steps and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective strategies for supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families, working collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for children.
• Contribute positively to our Christian ethos, modelling our school vision and values in everyday practice.
• Be committed to professional development, teamwork and continuous improvement.
We would particularly welcome a teacher with:
• Knowledge and experience of continuous provision, including purposeful, play-based learning environments that promote independence, curiosity and progression.
• An enthusiasm for outdoor learning, with the confidence to use the natural environment to enrich the curriculum and develop children's understanding of the world.
• A passion for PE and physical development, promoting active lifestyles, teamwork, resilience and enjoyment of sport.
• An interest in OPAL play, supporting imaginative, inclusive and adventurous play opportunities that contribute to children's wellbeing and development.
Experience in these areas would be an advantage, but above all, we are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for giving children the very best possible start to their education.
