Summary

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and physically fit Warehouse Operative to join our team.

The role involves picking customer orders consisting of rolls of textile, preparing orders for dispatch and loading vehicles ready for delivery. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position that requires manual handling, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently.

* Locating and selecting the correct rolls of textile in the warehouse.

* Manually handling and moving rolls of textile.

* Loading vehicles safely and securely for delivery.

* Checking orders to ensure the correct items and quantities are dispatched.

* Keeping the warehouse tidy, organised and safe.

* Following all procedures, particularly those relating to manual handling.

* Working as part of a team to ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time.

Essential requirements

About You The ideal candidate will: * Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting. * Be reliable, punctual and hardworking. * Have good attention to detail when picking customer orders. * Be able to work independently and as part of a team. * Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. * Be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
