Warehouse OperativeLocation: WellingboroughPay Rate: £13.75 per hourJob Type: TemporaryShift: DaysJob Category: Industrial / WarehouseAbout the RoleWe are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse operation in Wellingborough.The role involves handling and processing a range of ambient food products, including rice, sauces, dried goods and other packaged food items. You will play an important part in ensuring stock is received, stored, picked, packed and prepared for dispatch accurately and efficiently.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy, cleanliness and organisation.Working Hours and DaysDay-shift working hours.You will be required to work every Saturday.You will receive one weekday off each week, with the day off varying from week to week.Flexibility is essential, as the working pattern includes regular Saturday shifts.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries of dry food products.Moving, sorting and storing stock safely within the warehouse.Picking and packing customer orders accurately.Handling products such as rice, sauces, packaged dry foods and other ambient goods.Checking product quantities, packaging condition and stock accuracy.Preparing orders for dispatch and ensuring goods are ready for collection.Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment.Following workplace health and safety procedures and relevant food hygiene requirements.Reporting damaged products, discrepancies or missing stock.Supporting general warehouse duties as required.Skills and RequirementsPrevious warehouse, picking and packing, or stock-handling experience is desirable but not essential.Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.Good attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.Comfortable with regular manual handling and physical warehouse duties.Flexible approach to working hours and weekly rest days.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Awareness of workplace cleanliness, hygiene and safe working practices.No formal qualifications are required.
