HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers – General Haulage & Curtain SidersLocation: Northampton, NorthamptonshireJob Type: TemporaryShift: AfternoonPay Rate: £16.25–£21.00 per hourPay Day: Every WednesdayJob OverviewWe are currently recruiting experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for temporary work based in Northampton.The role involves general haulage and curtain-sider work, offering a great opportunity for professional drivers seeking afternoon shifts and competitive hourly pay.We are looking for safety-conscious drivers who take pride in their work, maintain high driving standards and can handle their responsibilities professionally.If you have previous Class 1 driving experience and are looking for your next driving opportunity, we would love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out general haulage duties using HGV Class 1 vehicles with curtain-sided trailers.Transport goods safely and efficiently to designated destinations.Complete vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.Ensure loads are secure and handled in accordance with safety procedures.Follow planned routes, delivery schedules and transport instructions.Complete all required delivery paperwork and vehicle records.Comply with UK road transport legislation, drivers’ hours regulations and tachograph requirements.Maintain professional communication with the transport team and customers where required.Skills and RequirementsValid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.Previous Class 1 driving experience.Experience in general haulage and curtain-sider operations preferred.Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.Good knowledge of UK roads and road safety regulations.Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach.Ability to work independently and follow instructions.Professional attitude and good communication skills.All relevant driving qualifications and documentation must be valid and up to date.What We Offer£16.25–£21.00 per hour, depending on the applicable rate.Weekly pay every Wednesday.Temporary afternoon-shift work in Northampton.General haulage and curtain-sider driving duties.An opportunity to work with a professional transport operation.Apply TodayAre you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for temporary afternoon work in Northampton?If you have general haulage experience and are confident operating curtain-sided trailers, apply today to find out more about this opportunity.
