Summary
St Asaph is one of the smallest cities in Britain, so this advert is for the whole stretch from Rhyl and Prestatyn to Denbigh. We want three self-employed pet sitters to look after dogs in their owners' own homes while the owners are away. That makes it a separate job from dog walking.
Holiday-makers come and go on this coast, but so do locals, and the dog is better off at home. A sitter visits once or twice a day or stays overnight. You follow the routine left for you, feed the dog, give any medication, let it out, walk it, spend time with it and send a daily message.
You set the price, per visit and per night, and owners pay through the app. Then it is paid out to your bank account. We are not an employer, so there is no wage, and work is not guaranteed. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance are your concern. We have no sitting price for this coast in our research.
In Wales a licence from the council is needed for home boarding, which is dogs staying at your own address, before you take a booking. In the app it has a service of its own. At the owner's home there is no licence to get.
Free to join. No commission for the first 14 days, then 15% of each booking. At five of your own clients joined through you it is 10% for life. From their first day, clients you bring yourself pay 10%.
Over 18 only. Apply on Find a Job, telling us which towns on the coast and inland you can reach and whether overnights suit.
