Summary
Sunderland owners have a coast on one side, Washington on the other and shift patterns that do not always match the dog's day. We are looking for three self-employed pet sitters, one for the city and Ashbrooke, one for Roker and Seaburn and one for Washington and Houghton. It is not the walking job: you are looking after the dog at the owner's home.
Visits, nights and holiday cover are all possible. You follow the owner's routine, feed the dog, give any medication, let it out, walk it, keep it company and send a daily update. Students and shift workers who have gaps in the week fit well.
On the money and status: WoofWalk is a UK booking app, not an employer, and there is no wage and no promise of work. You set your price per visit and per night, you decide which requests to accept, and owners book and pay through the app, with the money paid out to your bank. You take care of tax, National Insurance and insurance on your own account. We have no Sunderland sitting prices in our research, so we give none.
Do not mix this up with home boarding, which means dogs staying at your own address. That needs a licence from the council before you begin, and the app lists it separately. House sitting needs none.
Joining costs nothing and commission starts after 14 days at 15% of each booking. Get five clients of your own to join through you and you pay 10% for life; clients you bring yourself pay 10% from day one.
Over 18 only. On Find a Job, tell us which of the three areas you can reach and whether you can stay overnight.
