Change and Improvement Officer (Temporary)

The delivery of health and social care services continues to adapt and transform to meet the needs of people in Renfrewshire, with a growing focus on prevention and early intervention. This is taking place within a highly fluid and changing policy context as we continue to shape our services to meet increasing demand within available budgets whilst also awaiting further developments in relation to recent announcements within the Programme for Government.

To support this critical work, we are seeking to recruit a Change and Improvement Officer who will assist the HSCP in taking forward this agenda. The postholder will play a key role in driving service improvement and organisational change with a focus on Older Adult and Care at Home services as we look to develop and implement a reablement first approach. You will lead colleagues through the detailed design and implementation of complex service changes to improve outcomes for local citizens.

Reporting to the Senior Change and Improvement Officer you will be a key member of the HSCP’s Change and Improvement Team which supports HSCP services to identify and implement innovative, cost effective and customer focussed service delivery models and pathways.

It is essential that you are degree qualified or have equivalent relevant experience. You will be experienced in managing change in a multi-agency / disciplinary work environment, have a demonstrated track record of achievement and knowledge of change management methodologies / techniques in an operational setting.

You must have effective organisational and time management skills; analytical skills; written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels in the organisation and across sectors to reform services to ensure they are sustainable, fit for the future and support people who use our services to meet their outcomes. Knowledge of integrated health and social care would be desirable but is not essential.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 2 years or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
