Form Works Supervisor
Location: Ipswich IP164EW
Pay: £27.81 PAYE
Overtime rate after 39 hours
Hours: 7:00am-18:00 12 days on 2 days off every other weekend off
Fortel is looking for an experienced Supervisor This is an all‑round supervisory role, involving hands‑on oversight of structures, earthworks, and general construction operations, with flexibility to cover additional areas when team members are on leave.
Key Duties
- Overseeing concrete operations, formwork, rebar, drainage, and groundworks; setting contractors and crews to work
- Monitoring health, safety,
- RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and quality
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure works progress safely and efficiently
- Assist with daily briefings, task allocations, and on‑site coordination
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain communication with site management, engineers, and other supervisors
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; direct experience with formwork, concrete, and civil construction techniques.
- Strong all‑round civils background: structures, earthworks, and general construction operations
Requirements:
- Valid Gold or Black CSCS
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Up‑to‑date CV
Must pass a
DBS criminal record check and mandatory
drug and alcohol testing for nuclear site access. [1, 2, 3, 4]
