Summary
Dogs left at home when their owners go away are happiest in their own beds, and Glasgow owners know it. We are recruiting three self-employed pet sitters to look after them there. This is not the dog-walking advert we also run; here you stand in for the owner.
Typical bookings: a lunchtime visit, a run of evening check-ins, a long weekend of nights. You follow the owner's notes on meals, tablets and toilet breaks, take the dog out, sit with it and send a message each day.
You work for yourself. WoofWalk is the booking app and only that, so we pay no wage, we do not employ you and we cannot promise you any bookings. Visit and overnight prices are yours to name. The owner pays through the app and your bank account receives the payment. Income tax, National Insurance and insurance are your own responsibility.
Public listings suggest Glasgow sitters charge about £15 for a home visit and about £33 for a night of home boarding. Those figures belong to other sitters.
Home boarding means dogs sleeping at your own place. It needs a licence from the council before you begin and is a separate service in the app. Working inside the owner's house triggers no such rule.
Joining is free. For your first 14 days WoofWalk takes no commission; from then on it takes 15% of each booking. Get five of your own clients to join through you and the rate becomes 10% for life. Clients you bring in yourself are charged 10% from day one.
Applicants must be over 18. Apply on Find a Job, listing the parts of Glasgow you can reach and whether overnights are possible.
