You will provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care while building meaningful relationships with the people you support and their families. You will contribute to assessments, personalised care plans, clinical interventions and the ongoing review of outcomes, working closely with nursing, therapy and rehabilitation teams.
You will be responsible for the safe administration of medication and treatments, maintaining accurate clinical records, recognising and responding to changes in health, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical practice.
Depending on the service, you may support people with acquired or traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, neurodegenerative conditions or other complex neurological needs. This may include PEG management, nutrition and hydration, respiratory or tracheostomy care, pressure care, postural management, complex continence care and support with cognitive, behavioural or communication needs.
Whether supporting active rehabilitation, long-term complex care or end-of-life care, you will play an important role in helping each person achieve the best possible quality of life and maintain their independence.
