Summary

The Council are looking to recruit a Principal Solicitor to join its already experienced team within Legal Services and in return you can expect a rewarding career with an organisation that offers a range of attractive benefits and a friendly, flexible, and supportive work environment You will provide management oversight of a small team and will undertake a wide variety of legal work with particular focus on Contracts and Procurement, and provide a quality and comprehensive legal service to officers, elected Members and other partners.

We are looking for someone who will be fundamental in meeting the Legal Team’s vision which is to support the Council in acting lawfully and with high standards of governance to achieve its corporate objectives for the local community. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and is a team player who can contribute to the wider delivery of the Council’s corporate plan.
